About the project

More than a safe place to stay.

Our women's project provides safe, supported accommodation for women in Rossendale — including many who are rebuilding their lives after domestic abuse. For some, it's the first time in a long while they've felt genuinely secure. We meet every woman with warmth and without judgement, and the support is shaped around her: her pace, her goals and her next step. It's a place to breathe, find your feet, and start to imagine a different future.

How we help

Support that builds confidence and independence.

Alongside a safe home, we walk beside the women we support as they rebuild — practically and emotionally.

A safe, women-only home

A secure, confidential place to stay, with staff who understand trauma and treat every resident with dignity.

One-to-one support

A dedicated support worker beside each woman — listening, planning, and helping her make positive choices for the future.

Life skills & cooking

Hands-on help to learn to cook, eat well, budget and run a home — the everyday skills that build real independence.

Community & connection

We link women with local women's groups and activities, helping them rebuild networks, friendships and confidence beyond their front door.

Wellbeing & recovery

Emotional, mental-health and recovery support through trusted specialist partners — at each woman's own pace.

A path to independence

Help with rights, benefits and housing options, and support to move on to settled, independent living when the time is right.

Working together

Wrapped in women-centred support.

No woman rebuilds alone. We work hand in hand with trusted local organisations so every woman can reach the right support — for her wellbeing, confidence and a fresh start.
